This was a special project for me, being from Tulsa. The team took great care to find the right direction with such a prominent site in NoMad and a brand that is know around the world. Rich bronze metal and chevron patterns took center stage in the final solution to build on their art deco legacy.

VR and 3D printed models were developed to further understand the appropriate scale and proportions. Floor area, sky-plane exposure, view and wind studies were made to get the most out of the cantilever, where air rights were purchased.

I was part of the team developing the project through DD. My key contributions were sketches, diagrams, modeling, multiple packages for client presentations, facade development, code and zoning analysis. This project took my understanding of NYC zoning, rules and codes to the next level. I also assisted developing the initial work plan and Design Development drawing set with the project’s PM.
